Ninja Job Change Guide (Ragnarök Online – Renewal)

Overview

Become a shadow of the night with swift throws and elemental magic. This guide walks you through changing from Novice to Ninja, including all requirements and a clear step-by-step path so you won’t get lost.

Requirements

  • Base Level: Any (recommended 10+)
  • Job Level: 10 (Novice)
  • Skills: All Basic Skills learned
  • Items (during quest):
  • Zeny: None required for the job change itself

Where to Start

  • Talk to Akagi in Alberta at (30, 65).
    • If you are Job Level 10 as a Novice and choose to follow the “path of patience,” Akagi will send you to Amatsu.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Meet the Novice requirements

    • Reach Novice Job Level 10 and spend all remaining skill points on Basic Skills.

  2. Speak to Akagi (Alberta 30, 65)

    • Choose to follow the “path of patience.”
    • You’ll be sent to Amatsu.

  3. Find Kuuga Gai in Amatsu

    • Location: Que_ng area (hidden training grounds). Look for Kuuga Gai around Amatsu’s Ninja training area; he will initiate the quest.
    • If asked whether to help, accept. You’ll be tasked with delivering a letter to “Wildcat Joe” (also called “Red Leopard Joe”) in Einbroch.

  4. Go to Einbroch and look for a Suspicious Man

    • Map: Einbroch, around (184, 194).
    • Talk to the “Suspicious Man.” If you agree to help him first, he will ask for:
    • Bring the items to him; he will reveal he is Red Leopard Joe and write a response to Kuuga Gai.
    • He will then send you back to Amatsu.

  5. Return to Kuuga Gai in Amatsu

    • Deliver the response letter.
    • Kuuga Gai will now ask you to also bring:
    • Important: Make sure you have no unspent skill points before proceeding.

  6. Finalize the Job Change

    • Give Kuuga Gai the materials.
    • You will change job to Ninja.
    • You will receive an introductory Ninja weapon: Asura (Katar-type Ninja sword, name varies by server translation).

Special Cases

  • Already a Ninja (or higher path): NPCs will recognize your status and you won’t repeat the change.
  • If you still have Novice skill points unspent: Kuuga Gai will ask you to allocate them before the job change.
  • If you log out between steps: Red Leopard Joe in Einbroch can send you back to Amatsu directly once you have his response letter to deliver.

Tips and Recommendations

  1. Items Prep: Acquire 5x Cyfar and 1x Phracon in advance to avoid backtracking.
  2. Travel: Save your spawn point or have Butterfly Wing ready to speed up returns.
  3. Skills: Spend all Novice skill points before returning to Kuuga Gai for the final step.
