Requirements & Checks
Before Valerie can help, two checks happen:
-
Weight Check (too many items)
- If you are carrying too many items, you’ll be asked to lighten your inventory and try again.
-
Overweight Check
- If you are close to your maximum carrying weight, reduce your weight and try again.
If either check fails, Valerie will ask you to come back later.
How It Works (Simple Summary)
- Talk to Valerie in Prontera Church.
- Choose the option that says you feel “abnormalities.”
- Confirm a few times that you want to proceed.
- Valerie clears conflicting job quest states and removes related quest items (if any).
- You can then re-try or continue your job change quests normally.
There’s also a safe “I don’t have any abnormalities” option to cancel.
What Might Be Removed
When performing a repair, Valerie may remove job quest-related items that shouldn’t remain after a reset. Examples include (names vary by server/language):
- Class trial tokens or certificates
- Seals/marks used by guild/job NPCs
- Any class test quest items that should not persist after a reset
Note: The exact items depend on your server’s configuration.
Safety and Warnings
- This action can erase progress in affected job quests. Only do this if your character is stuck or bugged.
- You must confirm multiple times — read the prompts carefully.
- Make sure you are not overweight before you start.
FAQ
- Does this change my current job? No. It removes conflicting quest states and items but does not change or demote your current class.
- Can I undo this? There’s no in-game undo. If needed, you can redo the quests to acquire required items again.
- Is this for GMs? No. This is a regular player service to fix job quest problems.
